Violet Cookies for Violet's 1st Birthday

Today was a special day....my college basketball team is going on to the Final Four for the second year in a row and in much more important news one of my best friends of all time celebrated her granddaughter's first birthday!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIOLET!   Here are some pictures of her 'Sparkly Violet' cookies :)

VALENTINE'S DAY 2015

One of my fav occasions to make cookies for is Valentine's Day...the options for cookies are are endless.  This year I was fortunate enough to have orders to make cookies for little kids and the freedom to create whatever designs caught my fancy.  So here they are.  Happy Valentine's Day :)

 

2014 In a Nutshell :)

Well it appears as though I've let this blog slip a lit bit in 2014...perhaps that's because it was the best year yet!   Let's see...my lovely twin sister got married in Wisconsin this summer!!!!   My grandmother's dear friend's granddaughter got married.  My best friend, Linda, got married over the holidays in December!!! (Maid of Honor and dessert extraordinaire for both occasions.  For Linda's wedding I made everything on the dessert table...so much fun. I was also able to get over my fear of using fondant and helped make the groom's cake(shown below.))  Last, but certainly not least, my wonderful boyfriend proposed while we where visiting my mother's side of the family over Thanksgiving!!  Truly an amazing year!  And here are some of the cookies and desserts to prove it :)
