Michael's Birthday Weekend

For the first time in quite a few years I was able to celebrate my brother's birthday with him this year.  We had a really great weekend catching up, hanging out with his roommate Keith and going to a Halloween party.  (Oh and watching the Packer's win of course : )  ).  I brought some cookie dough with me to his place and made him a batch of Frankenstein and Skull cookies to celebrate. They turned out well and were a hit at the Halloween Party we attended.  I love you Michael.  Hope you have an amazing birthday this week.  You're the best!

Schuyler's Party : )

It's always fun to make cookies - but it's even more fun to make them with a special purpose in mind.  My boyfriend's sister Schuyler has decided to pursue one of the most honorable paths I believe a young person can make, she has decided to join the service, specifically the Navy.  In honor of this decision and to say goodbye, her family has decided to throw her a going away party.  Since this party is taking place the weekend before Halloween they have all decided to tie the two events together and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in her life with a costume party.  In keeping with the Halloween theme a sent Stanley home to Delaware with Halloween cookies for what I hope is an amazing party :)  Below are a few of the cookies I sent along for the trip.
