More Pink Fun

Although I enjoy making cake pops because they are currently a novelty that not everyone is familiar with, what I really enjoy making are decorated sugar cookies.  So yesterday morning, having already completed the cake pops the night before, I got up early to make the following cookies before I went up to help prep for my friends party.  The cookies below are in the shape of cupcakes, birthday cakes and presents.  My personal favorites are the cupcakes : )  Below are how the cake pops and cookies were displayed during the first part of the evening before we took the cake pop baskets with us for table holders at the wine bar.

Pink Birthday Cake Pops

One of my good friends is celebrating her birthday this weekend.  She has decided to have people over for wine and appetizers and then go out to a wine bar to continue celebrating.  I made the two cake pop baskets below today as "table holders" for when we arrive at the wine bar.  This is the first time that I've used sprinkles to entirely cover my cake pops and I must say I'm reasonably happy with my first attempt : )

A New Journey

I'm sitting here at my computer late tonight writing and re-writing my first blog entry. I find my self filling the page with colorful text, only to delete it again and again.  It's amazing how many times one can start from scratch with a project in hopes of creating personal perfection only to find a flaw and feel the need to start again.   This strive for perfection is what has kept me from blogging for so long.  It has been my goal for months now to begin blogging what I consider my "Honeyed Creations."  Those creative projects that I spend so many treasured hours creating and that I love giving and sharing with others.  However, as a perfectionist, I haven't felt that my current creations have been quite up to par to throw out into the blogging realm.  Tonight, however, I decided to bite the bullet and begin a blog in hopes that the old saying "practice makes perfect" might actually come true : )  Below are some of my most recent accomplishments.
